The South Australian Government has released new figures for its 2025–26 nomination program, providing updated details on allocation numbers, priority sectors, and the overall strategic direction for skilled migration in the state. These figures outline how South Australia intends to manage its skilled visa nominations in the coming year, reflecting current workforce needs, economic priorities, and long-term population goals.

South Australia now has 2,250 nomination places, divided as outlined as follows:
1,350 nomination places for Subclass 190
900 nomination places for Subclass 491
ROI applications are officially open to applicants residing and employed in South Australia.
Applicants located overseas are exempt from submitting an ROI and will instead be evaluated directly from their SkillSelect EOI for potential invitation.

South Australian Dama
The Department of Home Affairs has updated the rules for the Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA) variation process, affecting how employers can manage labour agreements in South Australia.

No variation requests can be submitted within the first six months of a new agreement being executed.
